The film
A handoverthat beganwith a call.
Fighting against a lack of tradition and a hostile environment, only one athlete had managed to fulfil his dream of becoming a skeleton athlete in Spain. After seventeen years at the top and four Olympic Games, Ander Mirambell retires — but not before building Spain’s first team in the discipline with nine young athletes chosen through an open, nationwide call.
The film follows their story of sacrifice from the selection trials to eleven intensive days of debut on the ice in Sigulda, Latvia. It is the story of a handover: what happens when someone decides their career should not end with them.
